How we research
Specs come from each manufacturer's own product pages and manuals. Rules about where you can detect come from the agencies that set them. When we lean on someone else's published testing, we link to it.
The person behind DetectorBrief detects casually, a handful of hunts a year. That means our guides don't claim months of side-by-side field testing. If an article is based on gear we have used ourselves, it says so, and everything else is labeled as research.
